Biography

I began learning to play Guitar at age 14, switching to Bass at age 15. By age 18, I Recorded (playing on Bass) with a few bands at 8-track and 24-track studios. Around 1997 I got a CD with Sonic Foundry's ACID 1,0. With the ability to add as many overdubs as I could ever need, I haven't looked back to recording on Tape. Since then I've acquired some different equipment, computers and software. I've recorded a huge number of original (often very unusual) instrumentals, and recorded numerous songs with my Wife Keli, who sings, plays Acoustic Guitar and Keyboards. But all of that was mostly about composing and recording... I never really focused on Mixing. Finally around 2016 I decided to actually take the time and effort to learn how to Mix properly. I haven't yet been able to afford Studio Monitors, so it's been a long difficult road, with no apparent end. And I'm realizing that for every small improvement I make, there are many more improvements yet to be made. Learning is a continuing process. When we as Mixing Engineers stop learning, we die.
