The GOAT

Vancouver local Chris Marcinkiewicz is a producer, remixer and DJ with an unrelenting approach to music. The GOAT is a solo project that blends house grooves, techno efficiency and hip-hop confidence. His sound is edgy, spacious and full of attitude. With inspirations that span from Aphex Twin and Bruce Haack all the way over to Minor Threat and the Jay Dilla, The GOAT is here to prove that the only way out is through. In an ode to the hip-hop producers and DJ’s of the early 80s, The GOAT aims to challenge dance floors. Over the past six years he has played numerous parties and DJ sets. This was highlighted recently with an opening slot for Techno legend Kevin Saunderson and Dantiez at the 2016 Seasons Festival in Vancouver as part of the Groundwerk Showcase. The GOAT has also manned the decks all over western Canada and has had the pleasure of sharing the booth with Joel West, Rennie Foster, Dronus, Diana Boss, Handsome Tiger, The Funkee Wadd, Mt.Doyle, JNL Cinemafunk, Xavier, Wes Beanz, Seaby & Tha Kodiak to name a few. He also has remixed Gang Signs and has more releases to follow in 2016.
