Born in 1979 in Athens (Greece) Billa Qause, enjoyed from an early age to push buttons that made sounds. At the age of 12 he started listening to hip hop and as time goes by to all various sounds of the afro american culture. He grew up to be a hip hop instrumental producer-beatmaker, pushing pads now on his MPC-Sampler (Music Production Center). His first solo album ‘’Jazzova’’ released in 2009 via CAST-A- BLAST. He collaborated with various artists on this one. J.Melik, RSN, Nikos Martziokas (percussionist) and David Carlton. Not long after that he met with Kill Emil and Elephant Phinix and alongside with J.Melik they have started to write music together and the result of it was Pad Trio + Elephant Phinix. Wanting to release more music independently they created their own record label called “Beatquick”. In April 2012 Billa released his second album entitled ‘E–Chop’ via Beatquick and at the same time he got into recording "Raw Sessions" with Pad Trio. 2013 Finds Billa working on a new project. Entirely different from his previous solo albums, he’s now experimenting with traditional music from around the world, a more ethnic approach always keeping the hip hop elements strong though. In July 2013 he released a video project in Nicosia, Cyprus entitled “On the Roof”. It was a live session with his mpc 2500, based on well known funk songs and samples, sound fx which he chopped and composed in a different arrangement. This project was visualized by Vber. Later that summer he met Wolfy Funk Project, a musical collective of artists who, at that time, wanted to adapt hip hop elements to their music and as a result B.Q. became a member of the band (Djing- Beatmaking). Wolfy Funk Project released their first single, a 7”vinyl entitled “From Scratch” in 2014 and Billa’s remix on that track was featured on the vinyl as well. In February 2014 he released his third album entitled “Zentai Teki Ni” which means All Around in Japanese, from Beatquick. A project which is based on downtempo, hip hop instrumental beats with clean rhythm samples. But for the first time B.Q. experimented with ethnic sounds and samples, traditional songs and chants, organs and vocals mostly from the Eastern World including countries such as Turkey, Pakistan, China, India, Japan, Morocco and more. In the meantime the second compilation of Beatquick “Raw Sessions Vol. 2” was released and B.Q. contributed this time with 2 tracks. A remix to Mononome’s “Forgot about me (You)” and a collaboration with Mononome entitled “Novatropica”. In August 2015 he released a solo album via Cold Busted, entitled “Rest in Beats” _______________. That was the beginning of his collaboration with Cold Busted records which led Billa into participating in several compilations after that. Through out the years he also got featured in different compilations from various record labels such as, Sinoptic International, Riddim Fruits records, The French Touch Connection, Klik Records, Millenium Jazz etc. Always wanted to experiment more with music he started collaborating with Spyros Pan ( Greek based musician and a Halo player ) and they released two video projects together entitled “Transatlantic Overtures” and a live rehearsal. January 1 st , 2016 he released via Beatquick, Zentai Teki Ni The EP, second in the series. More to the dark side this time, he took samples from Thailand,
