As young as he is, he's never afraid to go too deep or include his emotions in his music, his emotive musical selections are his own therapy. Having grown up in a small village north of South Africa and later moving to Johannesburg, both environments rich in interstitial sounds and a natural atmosphere, became his main source of inspiration, formulating the foundation for his music & art AfroMendez's productions are filled with a multitude of his own unique, funky field recordings. Elements of his sound include kitchen spoons, tin buckets, microwave, thatch brooms. "You can't get those type of sounds from modern day synthesizers'. His sound also features Synth works and distorted bass drums all witch became infused with his own love for electronic music in which resulted in him having a mixed spectrum of musical influences.
