My name is Tyler Fingerle.
I started SalaS in fall of 2017, but I have been producing, and song writing since 2011, before that, I was involved in a few punk rock and ska bands. I love all types of music, but EDM is where i've made my home. I prefer upbeat music in the BPMs of 150, 160, 130, 109, and 172. This includes a whole variety of genres, but truthfully I don't really care about genres, because what's most important to me is that it's a good song, and that it gets people to have fun.
I've been playing with NI Massive since 2011, and Serum since 2014. I've set goals for myself to recreate crazy sounds I have heard over the years, and while it took me about a good 2 years, I have yet to come across a sound that I have not been able to recreate. I have even created my own sounds within my own library of presets that I feel are very unique and unheard, and I am waiting for the right time to unleash them.
Anyone who googles my name will see that I was involved in a serious accident when I was 15, that took the lives of my friend Samantha Merchant, and the life of a man whom I owe my life too: Mike Webb. I was electrocuted twice as a result, and survived something that has an extremely high mortality rate (80%). While I appear normal on the outside, I have had serious internal burns extending from the entrance wound on my dominant right hand, to the exit wounds on my neck and right foot. Somehow I walked away with only the partial amputation of my right foot, and diffuse nerve damage, but unfortunately this has still made employment difficult for me.
I am 27 in the time of writing this and I refuse to accept that I am "disabled". I only need to find my niche, and I believe that to be music. You will find that not only am I one of the most determined people you will ever meet, but I can be resourceful, resilient, insightful, very intuitive, and a tough SOB who doesn't know how to give up. I am looking to push the limits and boundaries of music. I will always create music despite any extrinsic motivators because music has helped me through my accident, through the PTSD, and through the constant uphill battle in my life, and like any good jazz song, sometimes it takes that pain to articulate it into a hit.
I am very familiar with Ableton Live 8, 9, and 10. I am familiar with Native Instruments, Izotope, and Xfer plugins along with many others. I mix and master in Adobe Audition. I am also very familiar and capable in programming synchronized light shows using DMX-512. I will post a link to a 10 min video showcasing a 10 min segment from a mix that I had created along with a song that I had created, all synced to a light and laser show that I had created.
I am also very familiar with photoshop, and premiere pro.
My goal has been to become a multi-tool, like an artistic swiss army knife for whatever artistic endeavors I run into.
My biggest downfall is the high standards that I have set for myself. I am self-taught in everything, and to accomplish the goals I have set for myself, I will work rather than sleep, and sometimes it really catches up to me, and it can knock me out for a day or two because sometimes my body just can't keep up. I can be a perfectionist, but that's only because I know what I am capable of, and I expect my work to reflect that.
I am willing to work with anybody willing to work with me. You can contact me through my email, as I check it regularly.
