Soulful Indie Electropop from Portland, Oregon, Patternist bursts with a blend of rhythmic synths, heart-thumping percussion, and lush arrangements that backdrop songwriter Gabe Mouer's smooth tenor and wistful lyrics. Having spent his formative years opening for national acts such as Juliet Simms, The Ataris, Trevor Dahl, and Train, the young songwriter left his former band to finish school before reemerging as a solo artist in late 2014. Echoing the sensibilities of musical auteurs like Phil Collins and Peter Gabriel, Patternist's debut EP, Youth is Fading, was written and performed solely by Mouer, while sharing the role of producer/engineer with veteran musician Jeff Bond. Released October 14, 2014, the EP helped to generate buzz from bloggers, critics, and industry insiders on multiple continents, and spent several weeks on The CMJ Top 200. Patternist has licensed music to over a dozen television shows and programs including Keeping Up with the Kardashians, MTV’s Real World, Bad Girls Club, and companies like LiveDeal, NASCAR, and Discovery Networks. In March 2015, Gabe reentered the studio to record his second EP to be released in monthly installments starting May 29th. On the momentum of the new releases, Gabe plans to start regional US tours by the end of 2015.
