About this Remix

This remix was inspired by the diverse cultures that make up the city of Vancouver where we are based, as well as the diversity of heaven. Our remix begins and ends with an homage to the days of DJing with vinyl, and later introduces modern cinematic Japanese taiko drums as well as musical influences we use within the outside-the-box worship music at our creative boutique church, The Church of More Than 12 (www.facebook.com/morethan12 / @morethan12). All the risers and sample fx are manipulations of Switchfoot's talented lead vocalist John Foreman. Oh ya, and we chose to delve outside the usual 4/4 time signature of most electronic, pop, rock, etc. and take on the challenge of retaining the unique 7/4 time signature (our best guess). Super creative, Switchfoot! Love it! We were stage side watching you at PraiseFest in Cloverdale this past summer. Looking forward to the concert in February. Hope everyone enjoys this remix as much as we did producing it!

Drums sound great though I agree, feels a bit repetitive. I might try creating an additional section.

No I feel it. I actually cut out the bridge on mine - was making a bigroom house track and felt the emotion of the bridge took away from the track so I decided to axe it. Yeah, I definitely hear it, you put some love into that bass and guitar. I like the glitch sound of it too, part of me wants to hear more, but that might be because I listen to

I hear you though. There is an element of subjective taste. Thanks for the interaction bro!

Nunik, thanks. Appreciate your feedback! For this remix didn't want to use the entire original vocal. The variance is in the layers and sections musicially and even in the bassline. If you like bass guitar and listen carefully you hear variances here and there as if the bassist played it himself, but it's actually been chopped up and manipulated.

I dig the cinematic drums! Song is a little bit repetitive for my personal taste but it has a good flow. Also LOVE how clean that bass comes in after the glitchy intro!
