Hexadecibel aka HxdB is one of the Canadian bass-music scene's most prolific, driven and exciting figures. Respected for his work in several seemingly disparate genres, such as house, drum & bass, juke and UK garage and just about everything in between. Proving his reputation as an adventurous, and talented DJ, he seamlessly blends these styles together into a cohesive, dancefloor-ready package that has electrified crowds at festivals and clubs across North America.

He has released several digital and vinyl releases on some of most respected labels in the scene, like - Tectonic, Brownswood, Surefire, RBMA, Palms Out, Friends of Friends, Mindset, Fat!, Innovative Leisure, Symbols, Sounds of Sumo, Infinite Machine, Hot N Heavy, Frijsfo, Car Crash Set, B.YRSLF & Aufect.

Severine’s music has garnered DJ support from legends like Gilles Peterson, Ben UFO, Bok Bok, Ministry of Sound, Kastle, Canblaster, Dark Sky, Pinch, Machinedrum, Stray, B.Traits, Hannah Wants and many, many others. It has also received favourable press and reviews from respected websites and publications such as Mixmag, XLR8R, Resident Advisor, FACT, Beat Route, Discorder, Knowledge Magazine, DJ Mag, Little White Earbuds, Phuture Labs, Boomkat & Juno.

HxdB has proven his production skills by remixing and collaborating with an exhaustive list of world-class producers including Distal, Grenier, Gun Selectah, Maribou State, Nouveau Palais, and several others. In 2011, he along with fellow Vancouver producer, Self Evident won a Red Bull Music Academy and Exclaim! Magazine remix contest of Nouveau Palais’ song “Drama”, which was released the following year on RBMA.
