Hunter Heflin is a producer and recording artist from Maryland whose uplifting blend of electronic pop, nu-disco, and R&B will put you in a hot air balloon. Heflin has developed an energetic, hopeful sound characterized by his wide vocal range, ear-worm melodies, and thoughtful, distilled lyrics.
Heflin’s music has received support from the likes of Marc E. Bassy, SKIO Music, VMAN, The Daily Pennsylvanian, and Mugatunes, and has accumulated over 100,000 streams to date. He has played shows at Drom NYC, Tropicalia DC, Rockwood Music Hall, The Delancey, Pianos, and more.
After graduating from the University of Pennsylvania in 2018, Heflin forewent a traditional career trajectory in favor of pursuing his lifelong passion for music. Over the past few years, he has worked tirelessly to hone his skills as a singer, songwriter, music producer, and audio engineer. To that end, Heflin has completed a studio internship with Blue Room Productions, taken Masterclasses, finished online music production courses, enrolled in singing lessons, and watched hundreds of hours of YouTube tutorials.
Heflin’s early years were heavily influenced by music from across the genre spectrum. He received 12 years of classical piano instruction, memorized Eminem songs, produced hip-hop and R&B, played jazz on the saxophone, and wrote hundreds of works. Recently, Heflin’s music has been influenced by the sounds of Charlie Puth, Bazzi, and The Chainsmokers.
With a new song every month, Heflin continues to mature and evolve sonically. Currently, he is shooting a music video for his brand new feel-good single, “Nothing Like Before,” which is streaming everywhere now. Be on the lookout for the music video in January 2021!
In his spare time, Heflin enjoys binge-watching Peaky Blinders, weightlifting, and playing basketball. Show More
