I am a Rising Tier member, why can’t I message or request a Remix Deal from Pro Tier members?

On SKIO, members can interact with other members in the same tier. For a Rising Tier member to direct message, request a remix or collaborate with Pro Tier members, both parties must be following each other. Following other members and liking their tracks could encourage those members to follow you back!

What is an Electronic Press Kit?

An EPK is a multi-media online resume to advance your career as a music professional. The purpose is to capture and share your personal brand to represent yourself in an authentic and professional way. It can include many different forms of content, including images, featured tracks, a biography – whatever it takes to put your best foot forward and showcase yourself in a clear and organized way. This content lives online so you can point people to your own personal online presence whenever or wherever you sniff an opportunity. Your SKIO profile is your EPK, the more complete it is, the better you look. Don’t forget to share the link on your social networks.

What should be included in an Electronic Press Kit?

You’ll want to include your past and current tracks, collaborations, remixes, etc. You should feature an original track that represents your style the best. Of course a profile image just like any other social network, and include a short bio along with the genres you work in. The more info you put in, the more interest you’ll receive to collaborate.

Where can I create and post an Electronic Press Kit?

Creating a SKIO Music profile is your very own Electronic Press Kit. Simply sign-up or sign-in, upload your tracks and story, and you’ll have your own branded space to showcase yourself and your original work. Sync your profile to your social networks to show off your fanbase from around the globe, and share the link to your profile across your social networks to promote yourself.

Why do we need your full name?

Your full name is needed for when you buy Instant Remix licenses or hire someone for services on SKIO. We can’t generate your licenses without knowing who you are!

Why should I share my SKIO profile?

Sharing your personally branded profile URL means that it’s easier for your fans to remember you and keep in touch. Since it’s a simplified URL including your artist name it also makes it easy for your fans to share it with their friends both online and offline.
