How to sign up and manage your account

Can I manage multiple music profiles?

Unfortunately you can only connect one SKIO account per email address at this time. We are working on adding this feature into our platform. For now you will only be able to manage one artist profile, but keep an eye out for this functionality in the coming months.

Can I sign in with email if I have already signed up to SKIO with a Social Media account?

Yes, you can sign in with your email address even if you have previously signed up to SKIO Music using a social media account. Simply click the “Forgot Password” link on the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password and sign in with your email.

Can record labels and artists management companies have profiles on SKIO?

Yes, record labels and artist management companies can have profiles on SKIO Music. Simply sign up for an account and provide the necessary information to create your profile. If you wish to inquire about hosting a remix contest for your artist or label, please contact our Artist Relations department at artistrelations@skiomusic.com for assistance.

How do I become a Pro Tier Member?

Currently SKIO’s Pro Tier is reserved for verified professional artists and labels who work closely with the SKIO team. In order to maintain a high caliber of talent and quality in our Pro Tier, there is a strict curation process by which artists and labels are invited to become Pro Tier members. Right now, the only way to become a Pro Tier member is by invite only from the SKIO artist relations team.

How do I recover my password?

To recover your password on SKIO Music, click the “Forgot Password” link on the login page and follow the instructions to reset your password. You will need to provide your email address or username associated with your SKIO account.

How do I share my SKIO profile to get more exposure?

When you create a profile with SKIO you are creating your own Electronic Press Kit (EPK) with a custom URL with your artist name. Simply go to your profile page, copy and paste the URL into any social media post or profile description to share your profile with the world.

What are Fan Analyitics and how are they used?

Fan Analytics are a set of tools that allow you to track and analyze your audience engagement and demographics of your music listeners. This can help you understand your fan base better and make more informed decisions about your music career. They can also let industry professionals and other artists know more about what “stage you are at” with your music project and career.

What is an Electronic Press Kit?

An Electronic Press Kit (EPK) is a digital package that contains information about an artist or band, such as their biography, music samples, photos, and videos. EPKs are used to promote the artist and provide information to industry professionals, such as record labels and talent agents. Whatever it takes to put your best foot forward and showcase yourself in a clear and organized way. This content lives online so you can point people to your own personal online presence whenever or wherever you sniff an opportunity. Your SKIO profile is part of your EPK, the more complete it is, the better you look. Don’t forget to share the link on your social networks.

Why do I need Fan Analytics?

There are three major benefits to SKIO’s fan analytics. Labels use SKIO to find new talent to sign. One of the ways they look to see if you’re a good fit is by checking your fanbase analytics. Artists look for collaborators on SKIO. Many artists do strategic collaborations, and want to connect with people who have a different fanbase from their own. Learn about your own fanbase. By connecting your accounts, you can learn important information on your fans, such as, where your music is most popular and how fast you’re gaining new fans.

Why do you need my full name?

We require your full name for verification purposes and to ensure that you are a real person. In order to be considered eligible for contests and to claim prizes won from contests you will need to verify complete your profile information and / or complete a questionaire or custom release form.

Why should I fill out my profile on SKIO?

Filling out your profile on SKIO helps you stand out to our network of Industry Professionals, it also helps showcase your music and connect with creators in the SKIO Community. The data from your profile can help SKIO provide you with personalized recommendations and opportunities that might be interesting to you.

Plus, sharing your personally branded profile URL means that it’s easier for your industry contacts and fans to remember you and keep in touch.
