Dante

Alex Harper, also known as Dante, is a multi-genre DJ/producer hailing from Louisville, KY. Awakened by the beauty of classical music, picking up Viola in his high school years with influence from trance, and hard house from an early age, he became inspired to learn the elements of production and performance of electronic dance music in 2010 soon after viewing the 2000 independent film Groove. His journey through the world of dance music has lead him to draw influence from a wide variety of artists and genres, including trance legends Armin van Buuren and Dash Berlin, progressive house trio Swedish House Mafia, Porter Robinson, Dani Deahl and hard dance luminaries Brennan Heart, A*S*Y*S, Geck-o and Frontliner. His sets feature epic sagas composed of a combination of heavy hardstyle kicks, airy trance synth and hard-hitting dance melodies. It is Dante's opinion that each opportunity to explore the universe of dance music is also a chance to learn about himself. With his live sets, he hopes to provide his listeners with the same experience.
