Danilo Lima

Danilo Lima has always been involved with the nightlife of Sao Paulo. From coordinating promotions to organizing events, he has always been closely in touch with electronic music, hiring DJs and choosing line-ups and music trends for the clubs he organized. In the second half of 1999, Danilo felt more closely identified with e-music and because of his friendship with renowned DJs of the electronic scene, he realized he took great pleasure not only in organizing events, but also in making people dance to good and new music. He started his career as a DJ, following his preferences and inspired on DJs such as Dave Clarke, Valentino Kanzyani and Carl Cox, playing techno always in a more groovy and low bpm mode. In 2005, he was invited to play at Souk club, in Portugal, where he became aware of low bpm and was easily captivated by it. Mastering an impressive technique and a fine style, he plays an intelligent music, mixed to a mature, conscious and many times unparalleled performance. His career is greatly identified with clubs and raves of Sao Paulo underground scene, since he played for 2 years in the Private Wednesday project at Manga Rosa Club, in addition to performing at important clubs such as U-Turn, Clash, Club A, SPKZ, no name a few. He always has novelties and trends to show to the audience, but never forgets the classics, one of his major characteristics, taking the dance floor to a climax with unquestionable intelligence. His charisma and feeling for the dance floor mood are his main virtues. He has played with some of the most famous names of the domestic and international scene, such as Saeed Younam,Trevor Rockliffe, Ferry Corsten, Pedro Delgardo, Thomas Schumacher, Graham Gold, Termobee, Vitalic, Oliver Klein, Afrika Bambaata and Justin Roberstson. In 2007 he released two tracks of his own with his production partner Wehbba by labels Adrenaline Séries (France) and P Records (Holland). Now in his solo career he launched digital EPs by labels ADS Records (Brazil), Ibox (UK) and Midisounds (Italy). To celebrate his 10th anniversary, Danilo promises a new project named “The Mindlab” in tune with the latest phase of his career - more mature, organic and with added swing.
